For more than 10 years before I received my calling I felt lost and abandoned. I thought surely I had taken a wrong turn somewhere. I was so disconnected from myself and so confused about why I was here. No career path felt "right" and I was loosing my ambition that had always come natural. I was losing hope and could no longer find my way back to myself. Who was I? I didn't even know anymore. I was filled with sadness and insecurity and couldn't find my way out.

At the end of October 2021 I was sitting on the couch contemplating how we were going to handle the Christmas holiday this year now that we were back to 2 dogs. Usually at this time of year I begin to consider family obligations and I wasn't sure if we would be gathering for Thanksgiving since covid lockdown last year. In case we were, I began to consider a plan for handling both dogs. I really didn't want to get the RV out again this year, so maybe we should get a hotel room? Amidst my pondering a foreign thought pushed its way through,

It is only through my very specific challenges and events in life that I arrive at today and know who I am!
